Wine Description

The Ugo Contini Bonacossi wine is a tribute to the figure of father and grandfather Ugo, representing the indissoluble bond between land and man, passed down in the Contini Bonacossi family. Made from Sangiovese grapes from the Viticciana vineyard, the wine rests in barriques for at least 18 months. Characterized by a ruby red color and a lingering aroma, it is accompanied by fruity and spicy notes. On the palate, its texture is delicate and powerful, with a bouquet of baroque scents that give an intriguing touch, while sweet tannins give it a sunny energy.

Food Pairing and Tasting Tips:

Ugo Contini Bonacossi wine is ideal to pair with grilled red meats, roasts, braised meats and aged cheeses. It is recommended to be served at a temperature of about 18-19°C in wide glasses to best enhance its complex aromas and flavors.

AROMA: Intense, elegant, persistent, fruity with spicy and floral notes of wild violets and Kentucky tobacco.

TASTE: Elegant and refined with persistent spicy notes. Red fruit; mint, and light vanilla. Silky, enveloping, and well-balanced tannins. Long and lingering finish.
