Wine Description

Capezzana’s Ghiaie della Furba I.G.T. Bio is a prestigious wine born from the passion of Ugo and Vittorio Contini Bonacossi. The addition of Syrah to the original Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes gives the wine intense aromatic complexity. The grapes come from old vines grown on a clay shale soil, and vinification involves an 18-month aging in barrique, followed by an additional 12 months in bottle. Ghiaie della Furba has a deep ruby red color and a broad, complex and elegant bouquet. On the palate, the wine is smooth, with an important structure, dense and sweet tannins and a long and persistent aftertaste.

Ghiaie della Furba is best enjoyed at a temperature between 18 and 19°C to fully appreciate its aromatic and gustatory complexity. It is recommended to pair it with red meats, roasts, braised dishes, and aged cheeses. Thanks to its robust structure, it also complements game dishes.

COLOR: Very intense ruby red, almost impenetrable.

AROMA: Wide, complex, elegant, refined, sweet, fruity with intense spicy notes.

TASTE: Smooth, structured, with great volume, opulent, with dense and sweet tannins, balanced acidity, fatness, and density. Long and persistent aftertaste, fruity with hints of wild red berries harmoniously combined with intense and complex spicy notes.
